Zdravko Crne

Zdravko is MBII’s leader in IT/Comm systems convergence and integration.  His vast portfolio includes notable projects such as the Lester B. Pearson International Airport New Terminal 1, the three tower Southcore Financial Centre, Bay Adelaide Centre- East & West Towers, New Oakville Hospital and Waypoint Centre for Mental Health. Zdravko earned a B.A.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 1988, and joined MBII directly after.  He received his RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) Designation in 1996.

Nick Bonadie

Nick is a veteran IT/Comms specialist for mission critical projects in the banking industry, corporate and service sectors.  He has designed IT/Comms sytems for dedicated data centres and trading floors for many of Canada’s big banks, as well as for Ontario’s largest casinos. Nick joined MBII in 1989 after earning a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree (BA.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering at the University of Toronto.  

Paul Boken

Well recognized in the industry for his Award winning lighting designs, Paul is Mulvey & Banani Lighting Inc.'s (MBL) Vice President.  A wide range of projects has honed his skills: Ripley’s Aquarium, Toronto, the Canadian Museum of Human Rights, Winnipeg and the Peace Bridge, Fort Erie/ New York.  Paul holds a Fine Arts degree in Theatre Production with a major in Lighting Design and a Postgraduate Certificate in Architectural Lighting Design from Ryerson University.

Ian Ma

Ian’s core practice area is healthcare, lab and biosensitive facilities. A seasoned project manager, Ian brings a wealth of experience to his current projects that include the New Oakville Hospital, Women’s College Hospital Redevelopment, Waypoint Centre for Mental Health and Ripley’s Aquarium.  He joined MBII in 1998 after earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering at Lakehead University, Thunder Bay.

Ron Kwong

Ron specializes in IT/ Communications engineering, working predominantly with clientele in the corporate and banking sectors.  Ron’s recent work includes BMO Financial Group- HarrisBank, Naperville Operations Centre and Data Centre, Illinois, Niagara Health Services and Pan Am Games 2015 aquatic and land stadium venues. Ron graduated from the University of Toronto with a B.A.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and joined MBII in 1994.

Rick Rogers

Rick is MBII’s Manager of Contract Administration. His vast site experience spans all sectors with recent project highlights such as the Vaughan Civic Centre, 18 York Street, RBC Centre, Bay Adelaide Centre East and Ripley’s Aquarium, Toronto.  Rick was educated at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and holds a license as a Journeyman Electrician.  He joined MBII in 1986 after time spent working in Alberta working with both contracting and consulting firms.

Nick Manesis

Nick has 28 years of experience in the industry primarily focused on both commercial and institutional sectors. Past project highlights include the RBC Centre, Toronto and Telus Tower (25 York Street), Toronto. Nick has extensive knowledge of lighting and lighting control systems and their pivotal role in achieving overall energy and cost efficiency. Nick originally joined MBII in 1998, recently returning after working as a freelance consultant.

Remus Banulescu

Remus is a skilful project manager who excels at stakeholder consultation. Remus joined MBII in 2006 and now provides leadership on projects across all sectors, most recently in education, residential and resort, including Stephen Hawking Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics, Waterloo and the Fairmont Princess Hotel- Renovation/ Expansion, Bermuda. Remus earned a Bachelor of Applied Science, Electrical Engineering at the University of Toronto.

Parham Lotfi

Parham launched his career at MBII working on notable projects such as Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Kenya, Bay Adelaide Center West, Toronto and Vaughan Civic Centre.  Recently Parham has active with in several large DBFM healthcare projects, including Milton District Hospital and Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness, Brampton. Parham graduated from Ryerson University in 2004 with Bachelors of Engineering (Electrical). 

Peter Lee

Since joining MBII in 2008, Peter has become an alternative energy and critical power specialist working PV projects for Air Miles/LoyaltyOne, Daimler Buses North America as well as the Enwave District Energy system. Peter graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Engineering Science, Electrical Engineering.

Eric Cornish

Eric is a talented engineer and project manager, focused primarily on the private commercial sector. Current projects include 160 Front Street West, 81 Bay Street Development and a telecom hub at 151 Front Street West, Toronto.  Eric obtained his Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Carlton University in 2007 and joined MBII shortly after.

Maria Polito

Maria manages the accounting and HR departments at MBII.  With the firm since 1987, Maria studied business administration and worked for several years in retail accounting before joining MBII as a bookkeeper.

Moe Pourgholam

Moe’s practice area focus is Tenant Fit-up, with recent projects such as new offices for KPMG, Fasken Martineau (both within the Bay Adelaide Centre West) and PwC tenancy at 18 York Street.  Moe graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Engineering Science Degree (Electrical).  Beginning his career as a service technician, Moe joined MBII in 1999.  After pursuing some international work opportunities in Texas and then Dubai, Moe returned to Canada and rejoined MBII.

Greg Rushton

Greg oversees MBII’s dedicated Audio Visual Design Division working on projects ranging from museums and galleries to airports and stadiums. Notable project highlights include the Canadian Museum of Human Rights, Winnipeg, Remai Art Gallery of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon and Brock University- School of Fine and Performing Arts, St. Catharines.  Greg graduated with Honours in Audio Engineering from the Ontario Institute of Audio Recording Technology (OIART) and he joined MBII in 2007 after gaining work experience on the contracting side.

Kevin Pattison

Kevin is a skilled project manager focused on corporate commercial tenant fit-up projects primarily in the financial, legal and investment sectors. Initially joining MBII as a student for four consecutive work terms, Kevin was promoted to Associate in September 2015. Kevin graduated from Dalhousie University in 2011.

Arash Mehra

With combined degrees in engineering and business administration/ project management, Arash works predominantly in the commercial and healthcare sectors.  Arash is proficient in managing projects for security, electrical and life safety systems from the design phase through to commissioning.  Notable projects include St. Thomas Consolidated Courthouse and Women’s College Hospital Redevelopment, Toronto.

Stephen Kaye

Stephen studied at the University of Guelph and graduated with a B.A. in Studio Arts, following which he joined an architectural firm and worked on various large scale projects. Gravitating towards lighting design, Stephen went on to study at Parsons New School for Design in the MFA Lighting Design program. Since joining MBL (formerly a division of MBII) in 2010, Stephen has worked on notable projects such as the Deloitte Tower, Montreal, St. Thomas Consolidated Courthouse and the Queen Richmond Centre West, Toronto.  

Mehrdad Haghighi

Mehrdad works behind the scenes to keep MBII's IT operations running smoothly and efficiently.  Mehrdad started at MBII as Electrical Designer back in 1981.  Over the years his role transitioned from the engineering side to CAD manager and finally to his current role as full time IT Manager.
