Brett Francis, P.Eng., Senior Associate
Brett Francis is promoted to Senior Associate. Brett joined Mulvey & Banani in 2017 as an Engineer, bringing a strong background in electrical design and technology. Since then, he has become an integral part of our Electrical Tenant team, progressing to Associate in 2023, and now Senior Associate. Brett is a trusted and independent project leader who has played a key role in major projects and accounts, including CPPIB, JPMorgan, CIBC Square, and our TD portfolio. He is also a dedicated mentor and team advocate, always willing to support those around him. Outside of work, Brett enjoys hiking, camping, snowboarding, cottage life, and hockey. Nishat Fatima, CHRP, Senior Associate
Nishat Fatima is promoted to Senior Associate. Nishat joined Mulvey & Banani in 2022 with seven years of experience. She has played a key role in refining, developing, and implementing our HR processes. After progressing to Associate in 2023, she now takes the next step in her career as Senior Associate. Known for her dedication, hard work, and commitment to both personal and professional growth, she continues to make a positive impact across the company. Outside of work, she loves nature, the outdoors, and has become an avid runner with countless 10K races under her belt. She’s also an animal lover and proud pet parent to two furry friends. Moonis Islam, P.Eng., Associate
Moonis Islam is promoted to Associate. Moonis joined Mulvey & Banani in 2020 as a Security Designer and has grown into a trusted member of the Security team, earning his P.Eng., and taking on increasingly complex projects and responsibilities. His work has included our TD portfolio across Canada, the New Ottawa Hospital, residential developments, and most recently, a new airport in Africa. Quiet and reserved but incredibly down-to-earth, he enjoys travelling, EDM and music festivals, is also a semi-professional drone pilot, and an aspiring nature photographer. Congratulations, Moonis!

Hamza Ibrahim, B.Eng., Associate
Hamza Ibrahim is promoted to Associate. Hamza joined Mulvey & Banani in 2022 with approximately six years of experience across estimating, coordination, and electrical design. Since then, he has built on that well-rounded background through significant healthcare and institutional projects, including South Niagara Hospital, McMaster University, and Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, taking on greater technical responsibility along the way. Outside of work, soccer is a big part of his life, whether playing or watching, and also enjoys the gym, trying new activities, and spending time with friends and family. Congratulations, Hamza!

Saurabh Narvekar, RCDD, M.Tech., Associate
Saurabh is promoted to Associate. Saurabh joined Mulvey & Banani in 2023 and has quickly become a hardworking and reliable member of our ICT team. He has taken on lead designer roles across several CIBC, Deloitte, Courthouse, and De Havilland projects. A true team player, Saurabh also enjoys bringing people together and organizing team activities. Outside of work, he loves hiking, camping, exploring, and spending weekends working on his motorcycle. Brett Friesen, P.Eng., CEM, Associate
Brett is promoted to Associate. Brett joined Mulvey & Banani in 2024 as an Engineer on our Electrical Base Building team. Since then, he's taken on a range of technically complex projects, including major data centre infrastructure and building-wide electrical upgrades, proving to be a capable, dependable and well-rounded engineer. He is also known around the office for being incredibly pleasant, easy to work with, and very, very funny. Outside of work, Brett enjoys reading, movies, hockey, and spending time with family and friends. Congratulations, Brett!

Daniel Lochand, P.Eng., Associate
Daniel is promoted to Associate. Daniel joined Mulvey & Banani in 2024 as a Senior Electrical Engineer and has quickly become an important part of our Electrical team, with much of his recent work focused on the New Ottawa Hospital. He is always willing to step in, support his team and mentor junior staff. Outside of work, he recently completed his first marathon, enjoys the gym, hiking and adventures with his dog, and, of course, cinnamon buns. More recently, Daniel became a new dad to his daughter, who now understandably gets most of his free time. Congratulations, Daniel!

Neel Soni. P.Eng.,LEED Green Assoc., Associate
Neel is promoted to Associate. Neel joined Mulvey & Banani in 2024 and has made a strong impact within our Electrical team, taking on significant responsibility for the New Ottawa Hospital. He is technically strong, independent, and a natural leader who also enjoys mentoring and training junior staff. Outside of work, he loves hiking, exploring new restaurants, and on race weekends, following Formula 1. When he is not watching F1, Neel's entertainment of choice tends to involve spies, military operations, and plenty of danger. Congratulations, Neel!
