Transformation AGO

General Info

About the Project

Project Description

Visible walkways, extensive use of glass, and views of the city and Grange Park connect the city to the activity of the Gallery. Founded in 1900, the AGO now operates from a 586,000 square-foot facility, with a collection of over 30,000 works of art. Transformation AGO created “the imaginative centre” of the city: over 190,000 square feet of renovation and 90,000 square feet of new construction expanded the complex’s offering of visitor experiences, additional exhibition space, fine dining and retail. A sculpture gallery extends 450 feet along the north side of the building, offering overlook onto Dundas Street.
