Ontario Line: Exhibition Station

General Info

About the Project

Project Description

Exhibition Station, a historic Toronto landmark since 1856, is undergoing major upgrades to integrate the GO Train with the new Ontario Line subway.

The project includes a 40-meter extended passenger tunnel and a fully enclosed station with an improved elevator in the south entrance. A new shared concourse will allow seamless transfers between the Ontario Line and Lakeshore West GO Train, expected to reduce Union Station's rush hour congestion by 14%.

This upgrade will significantly benefit the growing Liberty Village community by providing closer subway access, enhancing both convenience and transit efficiency in Toronto. Image credit: Metrolinx
