FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre

General Info

About the Project

Project Description

FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre is an academic and cultural complex. The complex is adjacent and physically connected to Brock University’s Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts, sharing the venue for production, performance and learning purposes. Four performance venues: Partridge Hall (770 seats), Recital Hall (304 seats), Robertson Theatre (200 seats), and The Film House (199 seats) make up the complex, as well as an open lobby space that doubles as an event space. The performance spaces and the front of house spaces were designed to be community centric and multi-modal in nature, with the ability to accommodate all types of musical and theatrical productions, even corporate presentations and annual general meetings. FirstOntario is a vital component in the renaissance of St. Catharines, serving as the catalyst of modernization of the downtown core.
